Half-day classes are offered at two levels - Beginning and Advanced


Beginning

Half-Day

Students will learn the basics of the Word environment. They will learn how to translate their WordPerfect for Windows document formatting knowledge to Word for Windows. Basic understanding of Windows is required, also intermediate knowledge of WordPerfect.

Page Formatting

Introduction to templates

• Using the Normal template
• Modifying the default font

Managing documents in Word for Windows 7.0

• Locating and managing documents

Advanced

Students will learn the basics of the Word environment. They will learn how to translate their WordPerfect for Windows document formatting knowledge to Word for Windows. They will learn how to create a macro, create tables, and set up newspaper columns. Basic understanding of Windows is required, also intermediate knowledge of WordPerfect.
